The Phylmar Group, Inc. designed a computer-based industrial hygiene strategic planning and data management system for an earth resources company to assist health and safety professionals in estimating human resource and capital requirements necessary for conducting exposure assessment and prioritizing engineering control applications. SEEAPT® optimizes allocation of resources and assists managers with strategic planning decisions. In addition, the system also includes an exposure data management module that provides 20 standard reports for tracking exposures of individual employees, similar exposure groups, facility locations, agents, and tasks. The module includes a variety of statistical evaluation methods imbedded into the reports along with graphical presentation of exposure trends. SEEAPT® has enabled the client to reduce the number of employees requiring respiratory protection resulting in projected savings of $300,000 over five years.
