Unified School District (USD):

CSC has been selected as an environmental consultant for a Unified School District. Since 1998, we have been providing hazardous material surveys, project specification, and on-site project management for all asbestos and lead projects at the school district. In addition, our industrial hygiene department has been working closely with the district in generating and implementing proper negative exposure assessments for different trades and work habits during work in and around lead-based paint, and conducting indoor air quality, as necessary, for chemical and biological pollutants.

Work on this project includes all types of structures that are normally found in a school, which range from multi-level buildings to single story modular units. In addition, a complex tunneling system exists beneath some of the high schools, which require us to include in the specifications provisions for confined space entry and air testing and monitoring of such spaces.
